Spicy Beef, Butternut and Green Bean Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) Robertsons Steak & Chop Spice
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 400 g beef chuck, cubed
  • 1 kg butternut, peeled and cube
  • 1 ½ (375 ml) cups water
  • 1 Knorrox Beef Stock Cube
  • 1 handful of green beans, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 ml) Knorr Brown Onion Soup

Instructions

  • In a pot, fry the onion and green pepper in oil until soft.
  • Add the Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder and tomato and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the beef chuck, sprinkling on the Robertsons Steak & Chop Spice to taste, and fry until well browned.
  • Add the butternut, water and Knorrox Beef Stock Cube, stir well and bring to the boil.
  • Turn down the heat and simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the green beans and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
  • Just before the dish is done, mix the Knorr Brown Onion Soup with 4 tablespoons of water to make a smooth paste, stir it into the pot and simmer for a further 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Serve with rice.
