Spicy Tomato Relish and Boerewors

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) cooking oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Robertsons Paprika
  • 8 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • 1 Knorrox Beef Stock Cube
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Knorr Cream of Tomato Soup
  • 400 g boerewors, grilled

Instructions

  • In a pot, brown the onions in oil until soft.
  • Add the Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder and Robertsons Paprika and fry for 2 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Add the tomatoes and water and bring to the boil.
  • Add the Knorrox Beef Stock Cube, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Just before done, mix the Knorr Cream of Tomato Soup with 2 tablespoons of water to make a smooth paste. Add it to the pot and allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously until thickened.
  • Serve the spicy tomato relish with grilled boerewors.
