Quick Ox Liver with Bacon and Onions

Prep 10 Mins, Cook 15 Mins, 6 Ingredients, Serves: 4


  • 250 g bacon
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) sunflower oil
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder
  • 500 g ox liver or sheep’s liver
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Robertsons Shisanyama Seasoning


  • Chop the bacon. Fry in oil until almost done.
  • Peel and slice the onions.
  • Separate the slices to make rings. Fry the onion rings together with the bacon until soft.
  • Add the Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder.
  • Remove the membrane from the liver. Cut the liver into strips as thick as your little finger.
  • Sprinkle the liver with the Robertsons Shisanyama Seasoning.
  • Add the liver strips to the bacon mixture and stir-fry until the liver is just done. Add extra sunflower oil if necessary.
  • Serve the liver mixture hot with mashed potatoes or rice and salad.
